Today is the last day, hopefully, of our craziness as Em graduates tonight. I'm loaded up like a packmule--dragging along the camcorder, camera, cap & gown, Valedictorian, big box 'o tissue, one grumpy trumpet player, and a very proud Grandma Phyl. I'm excited to get there and enjoy her triumphs over at Thugs-R-Us Middle School.
Funny how I chose this particular figure to bring home, I'm sort of like him about this whole thing--afraid to watch how fast these kids are growing up. I want to watch--but I don't. It's all good, but going waaayyyy too fast.

Congrats to the graduate and Mom and Dad too!
At least you'll have some great memories to look back on when they do grow up and leave the nest. Congats to Em for getting out of the unfair middle school.
Lin,
Not only do we have Corbin, KY, in common, but also Davenport. My brother lives there. FYI, I taught at Union College in Barbourville, KY (just a few miles from Corbin) when I first started teaching. Was there for ten years, so I know the area too.
LOVE THAT ONE!!!
Congrats on the graduation! :)
What? You haven't given Harvey a name? I'm sure I love and all the more so if I don't end up in the ER with permanent scars. 8-D
Congrats to Em.
Hang in there Mom!

I love Violet's brother more than Violet...and Violet is pretty cute.
When I upload pics later today (I NEED to tan first) you will know/see I am seriously jealous of the honor Thugs-R-Us made of Em's 8th grade graduation. Since down here at the "they cut the budget" school D attended we got...shit!
Have fun today and keep your eyes open since, you know life passes by to quick to blink to long.
Have fun today and enjoy the ride. I love Violet's brother. I sometimes look at life the way he does.
I love Violet's brother! More incentive for me to take a road trip.
Best of luck on the graduation.
Have a wonderful evening. I am sorry I missed stopping by. The publicist was quite sick in bed.
Congratulations to your daughter!
Megryan's mom--Hey! How are you???!! Thanks for the congrats! We are very proud, can you tell??
Jude--Oh, I'm gonna be boo-hooing big time tonight. You've taught me how every minute counts--I get that. :)
Patricia--That is just so freaky!!! We'll have to have another get-together to just chat about all of this!! I just love the Falls!!
Stacie--Thanks!! Ohh, I'm so excited!
Chuck--I don't think he has a name. It's just listed as "Peek" but I don't think it's his name. Isn't he just so cute?? If you say "no" I'll just drop him on your toe--that is punishment enough I think. Joe could hardly lift the dude!
Jodi--I think Em's award was all the more special because we have received the short end of the stick far too often. I'm glad that she got what she deserved. Thank goodness there are no buttons to pop on my dress--I'm going to be one proud mother tonight! Sorry D got shafted--that sucks.
Merry--Isn't he sweet??! He makes a nice addition to the yard.
Lola--Lucky you! You are all done with the graduation stuff! We still have a party to host too. Ugh. Later in the month--I can't do it all now.
Pricilla--Oh no!! I hope she is feeling better soon!! She must be really sick to be in bed! :(
I love your little Puck. Is he peeking a little bit? He's really cute.
I like to think the statue is imagining. Imagining the future and the possibilities, Lin. As you say, with so much in a flux now days, how can we know the perils and trappings ahead? I have confidence your Em will do just fine....as long as she knows how to dream, just like the statue...her Mom....and the rest of us here. I look forward to seeing her MARCHING!!!! Congrat's Em, Lin & Joe, Fran's Dad
Priceless expression on its face:) Love it. Congrats and happy graduation to Em! Hope the good ol speech goes well.
Here's to a fun night and a low key existence after tonight!
Just such an adorable, precious little statue - ~ Love it!!
Wishing that everything goes well tonight and can't wait to hear all about it! Congratulations to Em!
Clara--Isn't he cute?? Not cheap, but cute....and heavy. I like the simple lines.
Fran's Dad--Such sweet words--thanks. I think that's the fun in all of this, watching them figure it all out--good, bad, or indifferent. I'm excited for the future--especially marching band season with TWO members out there.
Nancy--It was nice and she did fine. I didn't cry--you'd be proud of me. :)
Casey--Yeah. I'm ready for some boring nights watching a game on the tube. It's been a whirlwind for the past month. You have all of this ahead of you!!
Ollie--Hey! Welcome! He's kinda cute in a weird, primitive sorta way. He's great out in the garden--it freaked the cat out!
Beaded Tail--it was nice, quick and nice. And I didn't even cry!! I think we were all ready to have it happen already.
Congrats to Em! :)
Glad to see Violet has company now; that's really cute!
