I'm-Not-Ever-Really-Wordless-Wednesday

Patty, from The Maaaaa of Pricilla, and I have a barter agreement going. I send her a weekly package of recordings from some of my fav TV listings (Jeff Lewis' "Flipping Out", "Top Chef" and "Project Runway") and she sends me my fav goat soaps. Somehow I think I'm making out like a bandit in this agreement--little does she know how addicted I am to her glorious soaps.

When I opened my package, I found a couple of frog-shaped soaps that made me laugh out loud. Okay, so she enclosed some cat-shaped soaps too--but they aren't Hobbes-shaped. That would take one pretty large mold and lots of supplies to make one ottman-shaped bar. I think she would lose money making those.

So, I was so excited by my frog soap that I ran out to the pond to snap some frog soap photos. I actually tried to float the little dude on a lily pad, and as I went to snap the photo, he started sinking under the water! Yikes! I had to grab him quickly or I was going to lose him.

Thanks, Patty, for the soap and the laugh.

Wow, I agree you're getting the better end of the deal too. Lucky!!! Frog soaps no less. How adorable.

HA! That's a great photo and an adorable froggie soap.

I love Patty's soaps but I also love Top Chef and Project Runway, so I might have a hard time deciding. Not that I have to.

Now that frog seems to know how to enjoy life.

Patty nailed it, those are perfect for you. Plus, if you stick them in a ziploc bag so they don't melt away, you can leave them in the pond year round and never have to worry about them hopping off or dying.

I think you are getting the better end of the deal too. Great soap. Great pic.

Had to look twice at that photo :-)

Hobbes soaps-now there's an idea! I want some :-)

Fisrt time I ever saw a frog assume that posture. Truly "laid back."

Best frog photo yet. You should have left us guessing for a couple of days. With all the hobbs tricks I thought you trained your frogs as well. You really provided a smile this morning.

Woo hoo!! I do think that you are getting a great deal! Those soaps are awesome and the frog shape!!!

I am glad you are so very happy with them. I knew as soon as we worked our deal that I had to make them for you.

Now Hobbes would indeed be a challenge....I don't know that I could ship a 47lb bar of soap.

That is an adorable frog. I love how it's just kicking it.

I also love Project Runway and Top Chef so it would be a tough call.

The little frog soap is too cute!

Flipping Out, Top Chef and Project Runway are some of our favorite shows, too.

I suppose we all could learn a little something from that adorable amphibian! Kick back, relax, and enjoy the waters of life!

Mtn Woman - Yeah, taping shows takes no real skill, unless you know how absolutely ridiculous my recorder is--then you would realize how much work it is on my end. Sigh. I'm in goat soap HEAVEN!

JD--I have them both, JD! My life is complete.

Chuck--Isn't he cute?? No, you may not "borrow" my soap.

Casey--But then I couldn't use it either. As hard as it is to watch a little frog disappear slowly from use, those frothy soap bubbles are worth it!

Merry--Only a blogger would try to figure out how to best display their soap on a lily pad! How sad I was that it was sinking. You got the effect though, right?

Helene--I don't think there is an ottoman-shaped mold, is there?? Maybe a chair or sofa, but alas, no ottoman. You may just have to get the cat-shaped kind--I guarantee you'll be hooked!

A. Marie--And that is why I love blog pallies so--Can you even believe she poured frog soaps for ME???!

Abby--I may have to get you hooked on goat soap, Abby.

Vanilla--I think they do that in nature, but only when we are not looking. :)

Phyl--Ah, if only they were green!

Stephanie--Little does Patty know I would do just about ANYTHING for my goat soap addiction!

Pricilla--And in an ottoman-shape no less! LOL! Thanks for the chuckle, Patty!

Chocolate--What??! No Jeff Lewis??! He's my fav of the 3 I think. Well, Tim Gunn is pretty high on the list.

Daisy--Isn't he funny?? It was even funnier to see him sinking with the lily pad. :)

Wendy--No kidding! But he also doesn't have to drive the kids 14 places in a day either!

That frog soap was the very first thing I noticed when I came here today. You're right, you are making out like a bandit.

That is such a cute frog soap! You have a great deal with her! I'm going to have to try her soaps one of these days.

Lynne--Uh, I used him. I know he WAS cute and all, but I couldn't resist! Once you have goat soap, you don't think about not using it.

Lola--It's a sweet deal isn't it, Lola?? I'm hoping Patty doesn't get cable anytime soon!

Grace and Storm--And cute doesn't even begin to describe how wonderful it is! It just makes your skin super soft too. I know it sounds like a commercial, but you really have to try the stuff. Its addicting.

Ratty--Really?! You didn't notice my picture with Jerry again? Or my cute kitty smelling the flowers? Or how about Violet, my statue? Or.......

You are getting the better end of the deal. Patty makes the best soap. What a cute bar of soap.

Lin said...

Beaded Tail--Oh, you will LOVE Patty's soaps! They make your skin really soft. WARNING--they are VERY addictive and you won't want to go back to regular soaps or shower gel.

Jen--They ARE great, aren't they?? Problem is that I really miss it when I'm out. Darned goat soaps. Almost makes me want to get a goat!

Sherri said...

How cute! Yes, I thought for a second you snapped a picture of a rare, exotic frog!

I need to get some more of Patty's goat soap. My daughters made off with mine within a matter of days. That frog is so cute!

DG at Diary of a Mad Bathroom said...

Well that's just too darned cute for words. Who knew they made soap out of goat?

Loooove Patty's soaps! I have a couple on the way as we speak...

Those froggies are too cute. That's the ONE problem with her soaps -- they're almost too cute to use!

P.S. Pimp and Moo will not claw my eyes out for dressing them up. I hope. They do it because they know their mommy loves it (and because they get A TON OF TREATS when they're done every time). ;)

I love the froggie soap and that was a great idea to snap him in the pond. Glad you rescued him from sinking. Cool barter agreement.

The froggy is adorable!! I had to do a double-take when I first saw it!!!

I thought you were going to tell us to hunt for the real frog watching the soap frog! Cute little guy... he will sadly suds away his little arms and legs and eyes till all that remains is a belly. What service you demand of your friends!

cardiogirl said...

I must admit, when I saw the photo I initially thought that was a frog who croaked. Wah, wah, waaaah. Ba dump bump.

I did find him freaky, though, until I read the post. That is a bummer that he wouldn't float.

I guess he's not like Dove, eh?

*lynne* said...

bwaahahaaa :D Love your sense of humour, Lin! :)

Lin said...

Sherri--It is rare indeed! I'm not sure frog-shaped goat soap is regularly on the shelves over at her shop. See? A collectors item that has....uh....been "washed away". He was cute while he lasted!

Margo--Yeah, Em tried that here as well. It is GREAT for shaving your legs. Go stock up, Margo! You should not have to live without goat soap!

DG--No, no, no. It's made out of goat's MILK! I just didn't type that part. Sigh. I don't imagine goat meat in my soap to be a good thing. Kinda sad, really.

Cute--That darned Patty has got the whole lot of us addicted! Maybe there is a support group somewhere for those of us who cannot live without her soap. :) And no, your kitties probably won't scratch your eyes out for dressing them up---but they are thinking about it. (Don't tell them, but I think they look hilarious!)

Petula--He was really cute on the lily pad--it could have been an ad for her goat soap. Bummer.

Veronica--Isn't he the cutest thing? I almost felt guilty using it. Almost. :)

Sharky--It's sort of like eating the ears and face off a chocolate bunny--somebody's gotta be the bad guy.

CardioGirl--I'm glad you read the post! Geesh, you think I'm taking pictures of dead frogs??? Ick. That is just wrong--I bury them.

*lynne* - It must be the name, right?!! :)
