- I just think life is more fun if we notice the little stuff and laugh...a LOT. I'm lucky to live with a family who humors me, joins in the fun and tolerates me most days. I have a wee house and yard, but it is loaded with adventures. There isn't a backyard pond owner out there who has more stories about her frogs, snails, fish than me. I love the colors. Our school colors were red and gray...god those uniforms were ugly.

flaming tubas? that some sort of visual that goes with the show? it;s cool. we don't have tubas anymore. they (they were twins) moved away this summer
i'd love to see this. our first contest is in 3 weeks, but i got a video from the weekend before last (homecoming was this week, and i don't think you want to watch a bunch of girls walking to isn't she lovely...lol)
Diana, I am soooooooo SAD!!! I won't be at the U of I because our band wasn't able to get in! Our band director sent the application in like she always does, with the fee, and for some reason, we didn't get in. We got on some stuipd "waiting list" that has 3 bands before us on it. So,*sigh* we won't be there....And I was looking so forward to seeing you and Lin!!!
We are going to Limestone this coming Saturday, then Metamora, then the 29th of October, we go to Mahomet.

Diana--No A.Marie this year. :( See her comment below. Bummer. I can't wait to see Jake in action as a Marching Illini!!!
Mary Ann--The show is okay, but we are still working on it week after week.
Beaded Tail--It is very cool when you see it. We get a lot of "ooooh" when they go off. It's pretty cool.
Ann--It's okay, we aren't doing as well as usual, but we have a young band this year. Our director mixes it up and improves each week, so we never know what is going to happen.
silverthoughts--Our colors are orange and brown--not so cool. But what can you do? We make it work.
Grace--Tubas. Ours all flame at the end of our performance. It's really cool.
Veronica Lee--Really?! Orange and brown is not so sharp, but new uniforms are really expensive. We will be wearing these for a few more years.
Mystery Man--Our show is still rough--we have some needed changes each week, so no video just yet. I'll see if I can find a video on youtube that shows them going off to show you. It is a cool effect that wows the crowd. I'd like to see your show too.
A.Marie--Oh darn. I am soooo gonna miss you!! :( We've done the flaming tubas for years--it's sort of our trademark. Good luck to your band this year!
