Commence recovery mode from the weekend. It kicked off with a great BBQ at a friend's, then promptly moved onto house projects, a day at the lakefront, and an introduction to my cousin's new baby. I still haven't figured out what that official relation is, so I just called myself Aunt Lin and she seemed to think that was fine, so we are gonna stick with that. Babies are so easy to please, aren't they?
Now I have to go back to work and I don't really want to. sigh. Yea, me.
As I ease into the week, I'm posting this video that I found over the weekend. Love, love, love the two kids and it reminds me of all the drama from my old driving carpool days.
Damn, now I've got that song running through my brain all day...

Great weekend. If the cousin is a first cousin, then her child is your first cousin, once removed. jsyk.
I actually enjoyed the video. Kids are so entertaining.
I love that song....I have it in my head ALL the time :) yea, it's Tuesday and tomorrow I head back to school from my little vacation; ugh! but oh well, our year is officially over June 29 so not much longer...
Great song! The video is sure a different twist. Must have taken a lot of trials to do it perfectly.
I LOVE that song:) Cute video. Sounds like you had a lovely weekend! It's always hard to make yourself get back to work after extra play time.
It's easier just to be everyone's Aunt.
I'm exhausted. Lots of soap and jewelry making. I'm nappin' today

oh, man...it'll take me a week to recover from being at my sister's place.... what a zoo.....
Catchy tune but the kids are annoying - 2 year olds are the only kids I like - babies are boring and older than 2 - annoying! And you wonder why I never had kids - Ha!
At least the week is a day shorter! I love that song too and actually think the two who sang it on American Idol did a better version of it. Either way, it's a catchy tune!
I hate Mondays even more when they fall on a Tuesday :)
Catchy tune
Vanilla--Whew! thanks for the info. I think I'll stick with 'Aunt Lin'--it's just easier to say. ;) I thought those kids were subtle, yet cool singing that song.
Tracy--ME TOO! It's either that or "Call me maybe", which drives my kids nuts. Wow--you have a long time to go yet! June 29??? Yikes. Hang in there, baby!
Diane--I love the song, but the kids did a GREAT job, didn't they? So cool, yet dramatic.
Nancy--ME TOO! I love those kids and how cool they are without being obnoxious.
Patty--No kidding. I'm either "Aunt Lin" or "Miss Lin". Even my boss calls me Miss Lin. What is with that??! Sounds like you had a busy weekend!
BumbleVee--Kids will wear you out, won't they? Carpool was always the longest 7 minutes of my day with all that drama back there. Ugh.
Grace--Really?! I liked those kids. I didn't think they were too annoying or show-offy. I like older kids--babies are not for me.
Beaded Tail--ME TOO! What is with that song? I just love it. I like the kids and how dramatic they are singing it in the back of the car.
Ann--Well, tomorrow is Hump Day already. That's one plus! And I'm off Friday too--so it is one SHORT week! Hooray!
Man...you always pick those songs that get stuck in the head. ;)
xo Catherine
Auntie works good for everyone. Love the video. Kids will be kids. Hope your week is good. Take care.
