There was probably a bug in the hole. Or the concrete was warm. Or there was a bug in the hole.
It's a launching pad. She's counting down to blast off. Or not.
Lol! This made me think of a story from my childhood involving my little sister and a well.Long story short my father had to close up the well opening since it was just "potty" sized!
It's a dry place to sit of course:)
Let's go with throne. It is a perfect kitty-sized pad, and of course Grace does rule!
I love Secondary Roads' idea of a launching pad. Don't cats sit in the weirdest places? I love to see my cats on the countertops sitting in the most extreme corner, like the farthest place they can possibly sit and still survey their universe without falling off.
Probably better than the itchy grass. :)

That's a throne if I ever saw one. Could be she was afraid that if she sat in the grass she would end up with a bug up her butt and she wasn't in the mood for it today :)
Where is your clothes pole? Maybe she's just telling you it's time to hang out the laundry.
Patty--I think she just found a weird spot to sit. Cats do that, don't they? They sit in the strangest spots. Oh, I don't have to tell you!

Beaded Tail--Oh, she's MAD! She sees the luggage and is NOT happy. I have to lock it up so she doesn't pee on it!
Ann--I think she is hiding from Hobbes--HE'S in the grass!
Sharkey--Maybe. She likes to lay on the grass in the shade of the clothes drying on the line.

I'm sure she's not peeing in that hole, why would she do that? She looks quite content on her little throne; I wonder what she is looking at.
