Real Honest-to-Goodness Conversations in My Life

Joe has been traveling with his new job, so we've been texting back and forth a lot to keep in touch while he's gone.  We already have ridiculous conversations according to the kids, so mix that in with texting and it brinks on asinine.

Here is a real honest-to-goodness conversation we had when he was in Nashville recently....

Joe:  Hey. I was gonna call but we r out for dinner

Lin: Ok. I'm at the band mtg anyway

Joe:  I'll call later

Lin: Ok.

Joe:  I'm at a Honk Tonk bar with good music

Lin: I'm at the band mtg. Everyone is asking where you are at.

Joe:  I'm in Nashville.

Lin: I know where you are at, you jackass.

Sigh.

Each week I find a reason to be glad that I don't own a cell phone.

Sounds something like our text messages. Mine seem to center around "what time are you gonna be home?" and his alway center around "when the phone quits ringing"
