You say tomato....

Rarely do we describe things around here as "normal."

Take for example, our cats.  We have one extra small cat and one....uh....extra large cat.  Extra small cat is like 8000 years old, eats all the time and is skinny.  Extra large cat is not all that old, eats all the time and is not skinny.

Extra small cat beats up extra large cat....because she can.  She hates him just "because".  There is no other reason for her.

Extra large cat has an extra small voice.  Extra small cat has an extra large voice.  It's just ridiculous.

Extra small cat went to watch the birdie video that everyone has been recommending lately.  Extra large cat could not figure out where all the birdie sounds were coming from until I held him up, pointed his face towards the screen and all but spelled it out in BIG letters that the birdies were on the computer.  When it finally dawned on him, he was mesmerized....but never realized that he was sitting next to extra small cat who hates him.  It took them both a very long time to figure that out.

The only thing these two have in common is their love for bird videos apparently.

What a touching scene. Shoulder to shoulder they sit. Mesmerized by the birdie video. AWWW.

I wonder if this would work on terrorists, as well.

The picture alone is too funny; I was laughing before I read a word.
The story is wonderful.

First off - I warned Sharla and now I'm warning you - you have created computer hogs! How many times have I posted videos and complaints about Miss Frankie commandeering my computer (and iPad) to watch her damn videos? They will haunt you now as soon as you sit down to the computer. Frankie follows me into my office, jumps up on the desk and if I don't run a video for her right away she will tap on the screen until I do...

Second - I had to laugh at how much the relationship between Miss Frankie and BB, the orange boy is like Grace and Hobbes'...

It sounds like my house....Deva and Smokey. Why do extra small female cats have such loud voices and never shut up?

If I started that I fear my monitor would die in a four cat attack!

Haha! What's that saying, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend"? Lol

hahhah... somebody's butt is hanging over the edge of the table....don't tell him I mentioned it though.....

Oh noes! I recognize that birdie video! Angel LOVES it! She pushes my laptop off the table by trying to open it with her nose so she can watch those birdies! She likes the little ones you can barely see on the bottom right hand corner best for some reason. At least your kitties have finally found an activity they can do together! :)

Hahah...that's awesome! Sounds familiar....

haha. Sounds just like our Sammy and Molly ;-)
I think I have to show them this video...

I am indifferent to the computer - I'll look at it for a few moments, but then I want to leave.

We smack each other around a lot here, and Binga is really annoying, but unless someone has recently come back from a vet visit, we don't out-and-out hate each other.

I missed the link for the video. Your two sound just like my two kitties almost down to a T.

I'm wondering if HP, Dell and all the other computer companies should start marketing their computers with cats in mind. There seem to be an awful lot of them out there watching bird videos

Maybe watching together will be the beginning of a friendship. Hobbes looks huge compared to Gracie!

Only in your house, Lin. I really did LOL. That was my good one for the day.

Chuck--Yeah, notice how I backed up away from the two of them. I didn't want to be in the line of fire.

Jerry--Maybe. If they like birdies.

Vanilla--I was cracking up too--but quietly so as not to disturb this moment of peace. :)

Grace--Grace likes the video, but not Hobbes--which is a good thing because he takes up a lot of desk space. Thanks for the idea, Grace!

Mary Ann--Grace doesn't talk too much--it's just loud when she does. You can hardly hear Hobbes--which is so silly because he's soooo big.

Patty--Yeah, watch it. Grace really likes this video--Hobbes, not so much. He's not a big TV guy.

Rebecca--It's either that or "I'm in a birdy coma and I can't see who's sitting next to me."

BumbleVee--Isn't he huge?? We are working on getting his weight down. It's not good.

Beaded Tail--My kitties like those birdies off to the right too! Isn't that funny?!

Nancy--It's like world peace...right here in my kitchen!

Duni--They LOVE this video. Well, Grace does mostly. It was amazing that we could get them together so close without fighting.

Sparkle--Oh, Grace hates every other cat. We had a series of "misfortunes" with our other two cats before Hobbes and I think Grace murdered them secretly.

Merry--No link, but you can find it on YouTube under "bird videos for your cat to watch." Do your cats hate each other too? What is with that??! Hey--it's good to hear from you! How are you?

Ann--I think my two are so bored in the house that they are willing to watch anything on the screen. I'm waiting for Hobbes to be watching Jersey Shore.

Karen--Yeah/no. Grace still hates him more than ever. And...uh....yes, Hobbes IS huge compared to Grace!

Sharkey--It's really wacky here, Sharkey. Really.

Another similarity! Frankie loves the videos, BB is just sort of meh - We should take a poll about orange stripped kitties behaviors...

Dear Lin,
Sara Cat passed away a couple of hours ago.
I'll be introducing two red kitties to the Red Cat Society.
But right now, I need to 'land'.
Best wishes,
Anna

Awwww. That is an adorable picture. How long is the video? Do they both walk away from it at the same time?

You'll need a new sturdy desk soon Lin :)

That is too funny! I could just see my Bob cat "making" me play videos for him. Of course, that would be AFTER I explained it to him! ;)

Kinda like Hammie and Oreo, remember?

Too cute!
